Default question about mixing subs sizes and types

I currently have two 12" Kenwood eXcelon svc subs, receiving 400 watts each from a Kenwood eXcelon X810D mono amp. I am happy with the bass I get from them, as they compliment the music and don't overpower the music or anything (I also have a Kenwood amp running my front components). I recently purchased another of the same car I have ('94 Integra) and it has a custom box (w/ out subs) for three 12's. I already have two 12's, but I was thinking of cutting out the hole for the 3rd sub a little more and purchasing/installing Kenwoods 13" 1000w RMS sub. Wondering if anyone has any experience or comments on this sub. Also, is it a bad idea to mix subwoofer sizes or types? I will be getting another Kenwood X810D amp to run just that sub. Any help would be great, link below to the sub I am speaking of (can get for around $400). Also, many people comment that it only has an Xmax of 13mm, but comparably, the Xmax on many of Audiobahn's performance (immortal and eternal) subs are only 12-20mm.

Don't mix your subs

Please don't use audiobahn as a gauge of sub performance. If you are not looking for sq at high spl don't worry about excursion too much.

OMG!!! MSRP of $1000. Buy yourself 2 Re xxx's and call it a day.

^^^^^agreed

And even if you were to do that, I am 99% sure that there is not enough air space in the enclosure for that 13 in.
