The VAFC2 is the updated verson of the VAFC1. You can purchase them at Jdmgears.com.

I had one, sold it after a week, it works but it's conisidered a band aid approach to tuning. I figured that selling it and going stand alone is the right way to tune the car.

- of course standalone will be better...
- for what I want to do, standalone would be overkill

vafc2 is more precise tuning. you can tune it down to the 10's instead of in 100's. on rpm's and fuel scales. it works better if you really are trying to tune it down to the wire, plus i think the black looks cooler!

I am running a vafc1 with my comptech sc. It was recommended as the minimum approach to tune the out-of-the-box installation for a safer application (particularly a/f ratio).

remember guys the limits to using the VAFC, it's a piggy back, and it truly works under full load, otherwise the ecu will make corrections on partial throttle.

Standalone is never overkill unless the budget doesn't allow it. On a stock car with nothing other than an intake, the install and tuning of a standalone has netted 15whp. This gain doesn't occur only on full throttle but partial throttle is affected as well, where those that daily drive their cars see it most, not full throttle only.

If you aren't looking for a standalone system, a GReddy E-Manage is another good option.

The VAFCII is made to work with I-VTEC...there really are no differences honestly, except that there are a couple more rpm increments in which you can tune, and there is a light that turns red when you hit VTEC. And it looks cooler.

the vafc on an s2000 dosn't work very well on an s2000 I have tried to tune a couple of them with comptech superchargers and the ecu dosn't take very well to changes being made in most cases they will loose power. depending on what your setup is I would highly recomend an aem EMS. these units work flawless Are shop just did one on a car we did and made 397 whp on 13psi of supercharged boost the car drives flawless.

Only a vtec light, no shift light. I have one on my gsr'd hatch. I dont know about you guys, but I gained 8whp when I installed and had my car dynotuned with teh vafcII. Here's a pic, looks a little faded, but thats just because it was a disposable camera:
