Like a dumb *** a stripped out the thread in my manifold for my egts probe. So I wanted to use jb weld to secure it in the manifold but not sure since it gets so hot if it will hold up. This will be temporary unitl I have enough time to have it welded in.

 

if its temp, then go ahead. You could also just retap it too

 

Yeah I was thinking about that also. What kind of temps can jb weld handle?

 

it wont hold. I tried it already. the ex gases get wayyyyy too hot . it just bubbles off.

I just weld the bung in . when i tapped mine the damn threads ripped out. so i weld them in from then on

 

Yeah that sounds to be a lot better idea to do. I need to do this asap cause the exhaust leak from that little whole to rediculous
