Parts for b16 swap
im planning on putting in the b16a motor with 160 hp and 111 ft/torque into a 92-95 hatchback....now what im wondering is what parts besides the motor, transmission, and ecu i will need to get or replace in order for the motor to run. and fit perfectly..thankyou for any help
if the hatch is a Si or a Vx you have all u need its a direct swap.
far as the Cx/Dx you have to run the wires for the vtec/vtec oil pressure.
the next is depending on what ecu you are going to run the car with. if you use a chipped p28 you don't have to wire the knock sensor. if you use a p72 you must wire the knock sensor in to the ecu.
if you got a lil extra cash just buy an integra or 92-95 (si,ex,vx) engine harness then you don't have to wire anything just plug & play.

ok you talked about the ECU...the motor comes with the ECU would that be all set to swap right in or would it need modifying as well....also..if i got the dx hatchback what might i need to have a successful swap..thank you ver much for all the help
to add to my above post....what would i need for mounts for the engine...and is there anything else i would need...i just want to be able to have everything i need to do the swap and not have to keep buying parts and have it take forever to do the swap..thanks again
if u can get one of those engine harness would be the easiest way, since it has the vtec wires in there already. you may just have to wire a knock sensor since 92-95 did not use one. once u get the ecu there will be a code on it. any vtec ecu besides the p28 you will neet to wire a knock sensor.
you can use your stock mounts.
