my moms chrysler cirrus does this *** well, i was thinking maybe the LCA's got screwed up, or the springs.. i have no basis for either of those thoughts.. but, im interested to see what others think, then maybe i can help my mommy out
Only thing I can think of is check you axle. But I might be wrong. A friend had this problem when he turned or braked his axle would make thumping or thud sounds similar to what your describing. Oh well I tried.
i have the same problem when i brake hard makes like a click i just replaced my axle im gonna go check my caliper it was removed before and i dunno if it was properly torqued. oh well i would like to hear more suggestions as to what might be wrong.

yeah, that would be my guess if it were only in the front, is it?? The reason i didnt think that way, is, in my case, my moms car clunks in front, and back.. so, therefor it wouldnt be the axles
It sounds like it would be your axle. However, I recently had a similar problem, and it ended up being the heat sheild behind my rotor.. It had somehow became bent and was rubbing up against my rotor when I would apply my brakes and turn sharply.. Although it sounded like it was coming from under my passengers seat.
It may not be the same problem for you, but I would get it checked out and make sure it's not unsafe to drive. Good luck.
