well, according to..
http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...c.php

stock b16 is 10.2
stock usdm b16 block with C1 head is about 10.4

there are many people who have turboed there stock R's which are at CR of 10.6

so your CR of 10.4 is ok.

I am gonna run this setup with cp 9:1 pistons. It should be around 9.2:1 with the p72 head.

But why would you run this type of setup... why not just stick with a b16 head with gsr cams? B16 heads are known to flow better.

They flow basically the same stock, they flow basically the same modded. Not going to notice the difference on a street car between either one, especially not on a turbo street car.

the reason why im running this set up becasue i got a fully built gsr head for cheap...

ported ports intake and exhaust.. polished exhaust ports

dual valve springs
ferrea valves
jun retainers

and my fuel manage ment changed to uberdata

i think the only thing else to really do is mill it down which its something i dotn want

and get 5 angle cut valves and seats

putting a gsr head on a b16 block highers your compression .2, the combustion chamber on a gsr head is smaller than that of a b16 head by about 1cc. If there is port work done the chamber may have had its size changed during the process. I say stick with the b16a head. It came on that motor for a reason. If the reason you are switching is because of the portwork then take the head somewhere and have the combustion chamber re-shaped for lower compression and it will be better than your b16a head(compression wise).
