how to wire check engine light?
ok fellas....got a Q for ya.....my buddy is wondering if any of you guys knew how to wire up a check engine light...he tried hooking up a light bulb to it by grounding one side and using the positive side as the signal for the check engine wire on his ecu (this was just a shot in the dark) but it was a no go. any help is appreciated

hey thanks jim for the suggestion...thats what it thought too but i ended up figurin it out, it gets its voltage from the wire that runs to the alternator and then has to tap into to other wires...i was a dumbass and neglected to look at the huge wiring diagram i have in my basement...thanks for the help
