What is a good 4 channel amp???
Whats up, I recently bought some new speakers and a sub for my gf's 4runner, the problem is I know nothing about stereos. The sub has an amp already, but its only two channel (bridged I guess). I was thinking about getting an amp for the new speaker that I put in the door, but Im just not sure what I should be buying, or the watts I should get. The speakers are Eclipse SE8363 and SE8243 ( I had to buy smaller ones for the rear doors)
Here are the specs on the SE8363:
Size: 6-1/2 3-Way
Continuous Power Handling: 40W
Music Power Handling: 70W
Frequency Response: 90Hz-40Hz
Sensitivity: 96dB
Cone Material: Mica/Poly
Surround Material: Rubber
Voice Coil Former: Kapton
Midrange Dome: None
Tweeter Dome: Mylar
Super-Tweeter Dome: Mylar
Tweeter Magnet Material: Neodymium
Woofer Magnet Material: Ferrite
Mounting Depth: 1 7/8
Here are the specs for the SE8243:
Size: 4 2-Way
Continuous Power Handling: 25W
Music Power Handling: 50W
Frequency Response: 105Hz-40Hz
Sensitivity: 94dB
Cone Material: Mica/Poly
Surround Material: Rubber
Voice Coil Former: Kapton
Midrange Dome: None
Tweeter Dome: Mylar
Super-Tweeter Dome: Mylar
Tweeter Magnet Material: Neodymium
Woofer Magnet Material: Ferrite
Mounting Depth: 1 5/8
Now my question is what is a good amp that will help these sound a little bit clearer. I mean they sound pretty good now, but I think they ould sound a little better, especially in the rear speakers. Im trying to keep the cost of the amp under $120, any suggestions?

Keeping the amp price under $120 isn't gonna find you a good 4 channel amp. Good luck with it. You might find a used amp for that price. I would probably just run those speakers off deck power. They aren't by any means powerhouses. Having an amp will make a difference but it isn't like you are going to be throwing a load of power to them.

i've got a PPI PCX440 i'll sell it to you for $120. you pay shipping. works good is in my car right now. it puts out 40X4 at 4ohms, and 80X4 at 2ohms. isn't a real big power amp but one of the cleanest on the market.
