Default IC Piping question, custom job...need help...

ok to make this quick, i installed my custom setup last week and after throwing like the same charge pipe 4 times i decided to redo it. However with the 3' DP down there it makes routing the compressor to IC pipe pretty difficult. heres my question, i currently have a rubber elbow off the compressor with a dinky *** ID of like 1.25 inches or some crap cause with the 2.25 inch elbow it sat way too low and hit my curb and ****. so basically i want to upgrade that elbow to 2.25 like the rest of the pipe however if i cut so it sits higher im at the elbow and have no room for the coupling or a clamp. so i guess as far as the question goes i ask if there is a way that anyone has that set or i can buy a different coupling for that 90 degree bend, and also is a think rubber elbow there going to melt, and is that ID really way too small, or am i just paranoid? thanx for the help guys, and if this is written like ****, sorry, i wrote it fast...thanx in advance.
