I NEED Wiring help!!!! Please!
Basic Install, I'm kinda new to audio :
I have a 1996 Honda Civic, and I want to put my Head-Unit. (Kenwood KDC-9017)
I took the old radio off (that worked just before I took it off), and figured with a multimeter and the wires diagram which wire is what. I'm pretty sure I got them right. (ACC 12V, Memory 12V, GND).
Every wires respond to the multimeter ... except the Memory (Constant) 12v.
I really dunno what it could be, I checked all the fuses and they are all good.
My question is what should I do?
p.s. the old radio worked!!!
Thanks a lot in advance!
Felix

If all the fuses are good and the other radio worked...then you are most likely probing the wrong wire. Why not just get a wiring harness adaptor so it is plug and play?
Well there's no other wire!
And it was the wire that was connected to the Constant 12V on the old radio.
I also thought it was a fuse, but they are all good!
Now I'm asking: is it possible that because of the anti-theft (still in), or alarm system(they took it off) that there's some protection somewhere on the circuit?
Thanks

I agree you should have just spent 10 dollars and got the harness

Thanks, it was the fuse under the hood!
I didn't know I could get a harness for newer radio...
But then I'll need a new harness if I change radio again? Because I now have a kenwood and i'm planning on buying a new one soon. I'll need a new harness.
Where can I find that type of harness? I'll probably just rewire the original harness!
Thanks
Felix
