i was looking at my friends car to see how its wired up. he has the two wires going from the shock tower to the ecu. is his knock sensor wired up? it doesn't look like it is. how can you tell?

 

see if theres a wire leading to the back of the block.... what kind of ecu is he running, some chipped computers dont read knock, he may have not needed it wired

 

he's running a chipped p28.

i just read on an old post that if your using a chipped p28, you won't wire up the knock sensor or the iab's.

 

what year car. 92-95 don;t have knock sensors and only the 92 has the vtec wires. so im assuming its a 92 DX hatch, which means thier is no knock sensor. also what engine are u installing? the z6 doesn't use a knock sensor, and if your running a p28 then it doesn;t use a knock sensor so u don't hook it up.


if u search u will find these things. but please post atleast what engine and car u are doing this to if u want help. threads are usless when the answers can be found searching, and when u forget to include all the info needed.
