Default Can the B18C 96-97 Type R motor fit into LS properly?

Well i am about ready to order this motor here in a little bit. Wana do something different. I got a 94 LS. I heard it will bolt up just right but what else do i need for the swap. Motor comes with everything such as ecu (p73) and tranny and all that. What kind of wiring conversion harness do i need or do i even need one. I just want to know how am i going to make this work right. thanks

If the ECU is OBD-1, you'll only need to run three wires. If the ECU is OBD-2, you'll need to get an OBD-1 VTEC ECU and then run three wires. You'll need to run the wire for the VTEC solenoid, the pressure switch, and one chassis ground. As far as installation, everything is a direct bolt in.

Please search next time.

If you run an OBD-1 ECU, then you don't need a conversion harness. All of your wiring questions can be answered in the hybrid forum.

As for an ECU, you'll need an OBD-1 P73, P30, P72, chipped P28, or Hondata. I don't recommend using the P30 or P72 without chipping, but they will get the car to run. If I were you, I'd go ahead with Hondata.

You'll also run into another problem JDM B18c's R spec. Come with no VTEC OIL PRESURE switch you should get a chiped ECU that eliminates the oil presure switch and knock sensor with that all you need to run is one wire. The one for the VTEC SOLENOID. I know that the B18c R spec comes with no VTEC OIL PRESURE switch because i sell JDM motors and i have 1 96 spec ITR motor with no oil presure switch i also have 2 99's with no oil presure switch B16B's comes with no oilpresure switch also i have 3 of those engines so theres the prove.

shouldn't the guy doing the swap know what he's doing rather than getting tips from you, who in turn are asking anonymous guys on the internet..?

not what you'd call good planning...
