Got an interesting problem. If I go through 1st casually, then go to 2nd and floor it, when it get's up to 6K or so the engine starts to stall, at that point the clutch is in so that it won't. Anybody know what it is? 2000 lude SH, all stock. I'm thinkin something with the VTEC (not kickin in?) I don't know.

If it's at around 6500 then it sounds like you're not in VTEC and you're hitting the rev limiter.

 

Is the car warmed up all of the way?

 

Car is warmed up. Wouln'd go that high if it wasent. Is there anything I can do about it? Just bought the car, it's warrentied, should I take it in?

hows your oil level?

 

something isn't running at spec. Your oil pressure or oil level could be the problem and VTEC isn't kicking in, and therefore you are hitting the rev-limiter of the non-vtec cam lobe. Notice how you said you "casually" went through 1st gear...well try doing the same thing you did in second and i bet it would do that in any other gear.

 

If you just bought it, then take it back and have them look at it. That should be covered under warranty.
