Ok guys i wanted your opinions on this civic i found for sale:
93 dx coupe
automatic
no power windows
minor bumper damage from minor accident, will include new bumpers

The reason it is 700 is because the guys said it has a blown head gasket so the engine is no good. I was planning to do a swap anyhow. The thing is I will want to the change the transmission to manual. So what I'm asking is this a good deal and would the price of changing the transmission to manual plus the engine and swap be more money then just finding a civic thats already manual and runnning?

i think you're probably looking at something like 2500 or 3000 for motor, tranny, and auto/manual transfer. dont hold me to it, but that's just my guess

 

so then is this a good deal? I will still try to get him to lower the price but is it worth it to buy this car?

 

I myself would look for something already with a manual tranny in it. I would pass it up if i were you.
