dude, that sucks! i got pulled over in Thousand Oaks a while back but never had to take my tint off, they just made me pay a $77 fine. it was unbelievable, there was a black S500 with 5% tint, red 3000GT with 5% tint, and my red GSR with 35% tint, we we're cruising at the same speed and the pig pulls me over out of the bunch.......
Try this stuff called Goo Gone...i dunno if it will work but its worth a try
it takes everything off
it took off my friends honda signs by just dripping it on and moving the sing around

has cleans many things for me too
wouldn't that stuff harm the paint/clear coat on the car?
and when are you getting your comptech swaybar kit? i might want to take your itr sway bar setup!

I don't think I wanna be chilling in my trunk swiping ammonia all around--not much air circulation.
No, my window tint started to peel off (previous owner) it looked tacky cause it separated in 2 places so I just peeled it off. My defrosters are fine, just the gooey residue is left over.. i've heard people using a razor blade so I'll try that, thanks!

from my exp, dont use razors windex or goo gone cause it wont do the trick. the best method is to spray the ammonia on the glass itself and cover glass with plastic bags. just let it soak in for a few mins. the longer you wait the easier it will to take off the glue. also, when its done without being rushed you can peel the glue off the glass with minimal effort. my defroster still works!
50/50 Ammonia, Rubbing alchohol Mix... Its What all the tint shops use...
Do as somone else suggested and let it sit several hours with a bag around it... den scrub away...

How bout I just take it to a window tint shop, have them remove it and tint it again while they're at it?
sup yo....i removed that stuff last week with 3M adhesive remover. You can get it at most auto parts store. Works pretty good. Remember, this is very time consuming. Took me like 2 hrs or more to do the 2 little rear windows on my hatch in my g2 integ. Just keep spraying and keep wiping. I went over it at the end with Armorall Window cleaner. Hope this helps... peace
I took mine to a tint shop and they did it for 20 bucks. It came out clean as hell and they didn't mess up the defroster. Welll worth the $20, too much hassle.
No, NO, REALLY, the BEST (and cheapest) solvent is regular old lighter fluid! It leaves NO resudue, is clean, and works the nuts!!
