GooGone...
Well I decided to remove the old 14 year old purple tint off my rear window on my hatch and there was left over sticky substance... I decided to spray googone then try rubbing away but obviously that made matters worse. Other than standing there for hours useing a razor blade trying to scrape inbetween the defrost lines, does anyone have any comments on what I can do to faster remove and clean my back window? I was thinking of taking it off and taking it to the car wash with the high pressure rinse lol. But the googone is like syrup.. gets very sticky and clinges to the window.

adhesive remover? is it a spray, rub on or what? The googone was a spray which when I tried rubbing off as instructed made my rear window totally blurry and cant see crap through it lol. where can I get some 3M adhesive remover?

heh.. the tint was about 14 years old thats why it turned faded and purple.. as for the De-Solv-It where can I get that, and will it affect the de-frost lines on the back window?

When I use the razor blade the defrost lines actually stop the blade from going over it so I am worried I will mess up the defrost lines.

So I can use Oops or Goof Off to remove the Googone that I have already sprayed on the window? Because the googone has been sitting on my rear window for 2 days now lol I cant wipe it off as the directions say and dont want to spend hours standing there scraping in between the defrost lines with a razor blade
