Default Question for fast drivers?

Does anyone have a problem with they're windshield wipers wanting to come up when doing a high rate of speed? I seem to have that problem. Just wondering if there was a fix for that?

Could duct tape some rocks to the wiper arms or just slow down. Either or should work.

I hope I'm not falling in to the intended purpose of this thread, but how the hell fast are you going on a regular basis?

Our highways move pretty fast around here and my wipers don't budge in the 85-90 range. Going much faster than that on a regular basis... wipers would be the last of my worries :S. ... I'd be counting the days until I killed myself or someone else.

I regulary track my CRX and see about 120+ on some straights and never had my wipers want to lift. Maybe you should get rid of those 80's double wipers blades. You know the ones that come in clown neon colors?

You mean because that would strip just enough bolt on horsepower that he wouldn't be able to go that fast anymore, right? I think double wipers add like 5hp each, unless they are the chrome ones... those are like 7 each, but well out of my price range.

and you do this often enough that it is a problem that needs fixed? I mean, I've probably gone that fast on a highway, but no any time recently enough of frequently enough that I can remember. The solution is slow down, buy better blades that have very little surface area, slow down, slow down, and slow down... and maybe make sure the springs inside the wipers aren't all rusted and froze up.

Don't kill someone. I'm not going to be a completely judgemental dick, but 115 on a public road is not safe no matter how well you drive or how prepared and alert you are. That is a time bomb if its happeneing even on a monthly basis and being as that I'm done with school, I can assure you that nothing that happens at school is worth putting others and yourself at risk like that. You can't come on a public forum and talk about going 115 without some self richeous ******* feeling like he has to lecture to you. Sorry. When you get old and see the same **** happen over and over again under the same circumstances, the lectures just come out.

no, but water leaks out of the frame attachment point of where the hatch struts attach to the body. The water leaks out of the lower of the two (left or right side, depending on which hill i park on). Someone told me that is because of the rear winsheild washer nozzle not being sealed to the roof properly. I have been a bit worried about this..........

yes both mine do the same. at exactly 90 mph they both come straight up. its annoying and kind of destracting. it has nothing to do wiht the blades themselfs. its just kind of weird. i tried tightening the bolts also it doesn nothing.
