Default driving with base maps unsafe?

i juss recently put on my turbo kit on my GSR and currently been running basemaps for like a few days now. i got got on it hard a few times and been boosting around here and there and havent had a problem yet. But i read in an old topic that i should be careful so now i am all worried about driving my car anywhere and i wont be able to get it tuned for another couple of weeks due to the lack of funds

"should be" isn't worth blowing your motor for.
