Default what can i use to clean

hello guys i was wondering what u can use to clean mt turbo up a little bit. the compresor blades have a little bit of them black gum stuff build up on them and the exhaust side has some stuff on them too. could i use like carb cleaner or throttle body cleaner or break cleaner by just spraying it in there or would i damage something? thanks in advance

my brother works at Ford and they have a parts cleaner; he tossed in a used turbo and it came out looking clean. know of any car dealers that would hook you up?

thanks for the idea but seems like it may work but i'd rather not submurse it with all that water if at all possiable? anyone else know?

its not just water, and that wont hurt it. plug the oil holes and go for it. H2O is a product of combustion anyways.

I like regular mineral spirits myself. 3 bucks for a gallon and it works great. I use a 1" paintbrush to clean the compressor wheels.
