Default Cylinder wall scratches...HONE? / BORE?

just picked up a block and looks like there are some verticle scratches/marks around some of the cylinders. A few of them i can catch with my nail but most of the others can not even be felt. They look very very shallow but i'm wordering if a hone would take such marks out or if they can be felt will they definitely have to be bored?

I was going to use this block for a build and already have STD size pistons...if i bored over could i just get oversize rings? or would oversized pistons be needed/reccomended?

Thanks,

Vince

Thats what i was afraid of, not a big deal except that i already bought STD pistons from someone online. The box says "Rock Pistons" in red, white and blue.

Anyone ever heard of this brand/retailer? Maybe i could exchange them...

Thanks,

Vince

go with an overbore and bigger pistons and be SURE toi use total seal zgs rings. they are worth every penny. unless you are running nitrous or crazy boost. call total seal and ask them.

ALWAYS have your block honed before a rebuild. that way your rings will seat correctly. and always use new rings.

a hone will most likely take those scratches out, but a machine shop will tell you if it can, considering its hard to tell through pictures.

I sure hope they can be honed out...i'm just thinking i'll loose money selling my STD pistons, then have to pay for a bore, and new oversized pistons.
