Default 93 pump gas with octane booster...

ok, I want to run in the neiborhood of around 13.5 to 1 compression on an H22A maybe higher. THis is a street car and race gas is not very accessable where I am at. Anyways I have heard that some people say that 93 pump gas with good octane would get u there and be drivable without detonation. Then there are some people that say they dont trust the gas to mix well enough with the octane booster. What are your guys thoughts? Anyone doing it right now?

ok how about toulane (paint thinner). How much of a mixture do I need to run 13.5 to 1 compression?

do it right and buy race gas. Octane booster does nothing for you and talune or wetf isn't something you want to play with. Stop being cheap and do it right or don't do it at all.

toluene is used a lot for this sort of 'booster'. infact it is a main ingredient in regular gasoline, and F1 cars use it almost totally as a fuel.
there is no set standard on how much youd add to run 13.5. i could tell you the octane you would produce if mixed in certain amts. though. its mostly coming down to your tuning however.

heres a good toluene link. http://www.gnttype.org/techare....html

yes I know. I have already done a search on this. This seems like the most usable option here. Granted I agree that C16 would be the best alternative. Unfortunately the nearest place to get C16 is two hours away! So I need a viable option to keep the car running. So toulane seems very doable with no side effects whatsoever. My only issue is making sure the gasoline is properly mixed, and how much of a mixture to use for this compression. I was thinking about 20% toulane. Could I go 10%? What is the octane I need to run this compression? How do u mix it properly to make sure that I dont have detonation on any of the fuel that i ran through the engine. Any thoughts, or tips on this would be great. Thanks.
