100 octane at the pump... worth it?
I found 100 octane at a local gas station... are there any disadvantages to this? should i mix it with 93, cause i dont feel like spending 35 bucks for gas i use on the street...
i only run a dinky 7 psi... is it worth trying the gas?

if your car is tuned to 93 octane and you put in 100 octane instead, you will not have as good of performance. the car will run rich. run whatever gas your car is tuned for.

Higher octane gas does not contain more energy, it's detonation resistance is greater because it can withstand a higher temperature before self igniting.
In your case, 91/93 octane gas is plenty enough for your application.
If you want higher octane gas, what you can do is go to your local sherwin williams, or paint store, and ask for some Xylene or Toulene. it's 114 and 116 octane respectively. But if you use this, make sure you USE it, and don't let it sit in your tank for extended periods of time. Also, don't mix a high mixture, i wouldn't go over 50% personally. 1/2 toulene and 1/2 91 octane would yield you 103.5 octane.
