Default How NOT to break axles?

Is there anything I can do to not break axles so easily? I try to be careful, but they're still breakin on me. I broke one launching with sliccs at 6000 two weeks ago. Last week I broke one doing a burnout on street tires at 4000. I keep breaking the drivers side axles.

Get forged axles and maybe a less aggressive clutch.

get teh z-10 radius arms to cut down on wheel hop(which causes axles to break) and if need be check out http://www.driveshaftshop.com to get their stage two axles.

if you dont spin your slicks at all you will break axles. The spinning is what protects the axles from all the twisting force on the launch. If you want the best launches you are going to break stock axles eventually. Thats how it goes.

You won't be able to move and when you try to move it will just make a fast thud noise.

whenever i shift at high RPM, its like a THUD(feels like a sledge hammer on my engine) squeel. Its my tires i know, how bad is this for the car? or sometimes it will hop on shifts real high RPM? How bad is that?

It can also be possible that you motor mounts are going bad and the motor is just slamming against the motor mounts.

Are you talking about the wheel hop you get on a launch or just shifting. If it's on your launch then yes it is possible you could break an axle.

Here's a picture of the Z10 kit installed.
