well, you can get a header, cat, and catback for an EX, but if it's a 5-speed (which i hope it is), you'll have to be very careful about extending the 5-wire O2 sensor to the correct location. good luck

Thats odd, I don't see a question mark, or commas. But from what I understand is that you have an HX. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure what D series that is, but on 96-00 DX (D16y7) motors you can use an EX cat-back exhaust, but you would have to get a straight pipe or EX cat I believe. And as for header you can use an EX header too. I think it'd be best to do the whole exhaust in one shot. Also, on the secondary 02 sensor, you either have to lengthen it or get an EX one.

Your cat is on your header, so any cat-back will work. In a way, your car has a "test pipe" where the cat would normally go. However, there is such a bottleneck on the hx exhaust, that a catback probably won't do a lot for you without replacing the exhaust manifold and cat.

I've done this. EX header, EX cat/test-pipe, and EX cat-back. The secondary o2 will need to be extended as said before.

Edit - Will an EX secondary o2 work on the HX?

Ya, it's awesome. Best bang for your buck as far as acceleration goes. And actually a very easy thing to do.
