Default What can I rev to?

The head is a non-vtec d16y7 with a stock cam, ferrea valves/springs/retainers. Stock redline was 6800, what should I be safe to now? Thanks,

Pfieff

Stock block? I wouldn't take it above 7500rpm's.

Id say 8 would be your redline. I wouldnt take it over that. cuz you prolly wont make any power up there anyway.

Since you're using the stock cam i'd say rev it to like 7000-7200...you need to get cams that make power to 8,000 if you're gonna rev that high

The only shitty thing is I can't find a turbo cam for the d16y7 head. I know that exospeed makes an all motor cam for it, but no one makes a turbo cam. I know this is the all motor section, but if anyone knows where to find a turbo y7 cam, it would be greatly appreciated.

turbo cams just complicate the mix. Don't bother with one, just turbo it. You've got the good valve train now and some good pistons/rods, just turbo it, you'll get maybe 10 more hp I bet with a dif cam mad for turbo. Wont make much difference, just turn the psi up a notch, haha.
