Default GSR motor swap motor mount

Hey fellas, if I do a 99GSR motor swap into a 96 civic HB, can I use the GSR motor mounts or would I need aftermarket mounts??

Would after market mounts be helpful at all?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here since I'm more of an EG tech guy.

Timing belt side bracket and mount needs to be from a 99-00 Civic Si

Topside tranny mount can be the stock Civic mount

Front mounting brackets needs to be 99-00 Civic Si, front rubber mounts can be stock Civic

Rear tranny/motor bracket needs to be 99-00 Si, mount can be stock Civic

Again I'm *pretty* sure of this, not 100% positive as I've done EG swaps and only witnessed EK swaps at my shop.

not really

you're close...

Timing belt side bracket and mount needs to be from a 99-00 Civic Si

just the bracket. you reuse the mount

Topside tranny mount can be the stock Civic mount

correct.

Front mounting brackets needs to be 99-00 Civic Si, front rubber mounts can be stock Civic

you need the lower front bracket that bolts to the tranny from any B series. use a 96-97 Del Sol VTEC AC bracket if you want to keep your ac; otherwise, you can use the integra one. the stock mounts are reused.

Rear tranny/motor bracket needs to be 99-00 Si, mount can be stock Civic

yup.

Again I'm *pretty* sure of this, not 100% positive as I've done EG swaps and only witnessed EK swaps at my shop.</TD></TR></TABLE>

all you need is:
99-00 Si Rear Tranny Mount bracket: 50827-s04-n10
99-00 Si Driver Side mount bracket: 11910-p30-000
and the 2 front lower brackets on the engine & tranny.
you can reuse all other mounts and harware on your car.

You can actually re-use your front lower bracket on the engine from your 96.

jwn7 I don't know if that's what you meant?

The front lower bracket on the tranny though needs to be from an Integra.

if you want to keep ac you have to use a del-sol vtec bracket for front drivers side (where ac mounts....)...

can you really reuse the D series bracket if you don't keep the ac compressor? i didn't think so... if you want to keep ac you need the 96-97 del sol bracket.

no, the d series bracket won't bolt to **** on the engine. b-series bracket for no ac, or del-sol vtec if you want ac.

some have said you can use any b series and just use two compressor bolts, they soon found themselves with two broken bolts and a f'd up compressor...

Correct, if he's saying what I believe he is. I used the Si rear tranny bracket and Si drivers side bracket, I used all the original mounts. The A/C mount was never used and the passenger side mount and front tranny one remained. I think, it's been awhile.

Sorry, I was misinformed to begin with. Any B-series mount will fit on?

any 94-01 integra, 99-00 si, will work if you don't want your ac; use a 96-97 del sol VTEC bracket if you want it. simple as that.

and to the original poster, aftermarket mounts are great. HAsport makes nice kits but they're a little expensive. i have the 3 mounts from jimfab.com, and they're awesome. almost 0 vibrations over stock and the engine barely moves. you could also fill your stock ones with window weld or get some poly inserts from energy suspension.
