Why? Are you trying to use it with out the bose amp? If so, you can open the box and remove the amp and hook up your own amp to it for a little more volume. Or, are you trying to hook up an amp to the wires for a sub?

no i know there are four wires going into the sub housing. i was just wondering which ones supply the sound to the sub itself because i am planniing on putting a larger low wattage sub in place of the one thats there.

If you have a O2 Type S you can reverse 2 wires and the sub will get a little louder. it is under the service bulletin.
