I have the intrest of making my Integra a quick car, Its an LS so i needs alot of help. I have been looking around for a lil bit and I am still wondering for How much money to Turbo my LS, in cost against putting a B16 Head Properly on, What will be my power factors out a LS-Vtec? Standard Drag/Greddy 7-8Lb. Turbo? and how much price difference between the two? Can anybody help me out with some insight? Thanks email any further info. to cwm1221@aol.com
first question, how old is your engine and what is its condition
high milage and/or burns oil etc, its gona need to be rebuilt of another engine bought to do the work on, if thats the case ls/vtec moght be the way to go since you have to rip it apart anyways
if the engine is in good condition then turbo is probally the way to go
second , how much do you have to spend?
there's more but this gives you some stuff to think about

As soon as I'm done with exams I'll have my ls/vtec setup running hopefully and turbo'd by Christmas. If I could do it all over again, I'd keep my ls head, pnp, oversize valves and take the money saved from doing the vtec conversion and sleeve the block. Bottom line if your rebuilding for FI, you don't have to have the vtec head. There are b18b's making plenty of power without it. Do a search for turbo'd ls's. If your'e not going to get sleeved, definitely stick with your current head. From the people I've spoken to and this board, 330-350 whp is the upper limit (read all you need is catastrophy to ruin your day) and the b18b is capable of getting you there.
drag kit at 7 psi = around 220whp. Some just posted 270 whp at 6.5 psi with a custom kit and stock internals. I think he's running a very large intercooler.
I've never had experience with an LS/Vtec car, but I just turbocharged my LS a week ago, and I would never imagine anything else even measuring up....
You will make the most power with turbo.
It is a bit more expensive, but more cost effective if you consider the power you'll make vs. how much you spent.
Expect to spend at least about $4000 to get the car up and running, unless you get a really good deal and just go with cheapy parts (eg. autometer)...

I would swap out for a B16 with a LS trans. I know a guy
that has a B16 in a turboed EF9 and he runs 10.9 on the stock motor, I also have a homie
that runs a B16 in his turboed CRX that is stock and he runs 11.2
