CRX Brake Question
I was just wondering, if Si drums will fit on an hf. The car is an 89 HF i just wanted to know if they're compatable due to the fact that i found si drums for 20 dollars less. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

the best thing if you want to upgrade is find a rear setup from a da and swap the complete brake setup from that vehicle onto yours, looks nicer and easier to change brake pads.. the braking power is not that noticable, if you want more, go with slotted rear rotors..
the swap is simple though, what's needed:
rotors
calipers
hubs
spindles
brake lines
brake cables
that's pretty much it...
some people swap on the whole arm (i'm not sure what the exact name) but it makes the allignment about 1' off.. not good.. you just need the hub & spindle assembly.. bolts/nuts you need to remove to acquire this.. one huge nut and 4 torx bolts w/ t50 star bit...
something like that..
do the same with your drum assembly:
the huge nut and the 4 torx bolts after you've removed all the brake parts (drums, shoes, springs, etc.)
once it's naked.. replace the parts from the integra..
another thing is the brake cable.. you should get the entire brake cable assembly form the integra.. it length is no problem.. make sure you have all brakets still attached on it..
you remove your's by all bolts that connect brake cable to chassis, when doing this it is necessary for you to remove the heat guard from above your exhaust on the rear half on your car, from cat back.. there you will see the cables go through your chassis and onto the e-brake handle area where the center console is..
it should be hard to understand what you have to do to get it apart and together with the integra brake cable..
it's all pretty simple if you know how to take stuff apart.. i did it with no help.. only the knowledge of visualizing how it should come together was used here.. you can do the same..
now to your question.. will the si drums fit.. they will.. i'm sure but you might have to replace the mud guard as well as the rest of the brake assembly from the drum brakes..
sorry for being so complicated..
i hope i helped.. let me know if you have any additional questions.. ;p

if you're just doing routine maintenence I believe they will fit. If you are thinking of upgrading don't waste the money. swap to rear discs
