Front brake pad swap gone loco......
I've recently changed my front brake pads and everything went normal until I drove it around the block and suddenly noticed a heavy metal burning smell coming from outside and imediatly I knew it was coming from my car so I stopped and found out that the burning smell was coming from the drivers side brake pad. As it turns out the brake pads were to tight up against the brake rotor preventing it from turning so when I stepped on the brake pedal it put even more pressure on the rotor thus heating up my rotor and creating that burnt smell. It gets so hot that you can feel the heat from a few feet away. I'm not really sure why its doin this. I torqued all the bolts down to manufacterers spec. The only way from preventing this from happening is too loosen the upper and lower caliper mounting bolts, but it'll get too loose and wont hold the caliper in tight to the hub. Anyone got a solution?
