Rear control arm question.
On my 90 crx si the main bushing on the control arms (Big round one w/ the metal flat peice the bolts on both sides to the car) are broken. Honda dosn't sell the replacements
and says I gotta buy new control arms. Can these be pressed out and if so where can I find some replacements?

yes u can replace them with energy suspension hyper flex or any after market bushings
or buy my lca's I have from a 90-91 civic
with them already installed for u
since it is going to be a pain to do urself
and cost u to get pressed out and then installed
let me know when to alum. LCA's instead

I think you're talking about the rear trailing arm bushing. It's about 3-4" in diameter, right? That's the only bushing on the car with "flat pieces" that bolt to the car.
Anyway, you might not want to put an energy suspension or prothane unit in there. Poly bushing supposedly create binding in that part of the car. There's a huge thread about it on here somewhere, I'll see if I can't find it for you. I dunno who told you that you can't replace that part. You're better off either getting the OEM replacement part or the Mugen hard rubber bushing. Both units allow proper movement of the trailing arm. Here's the OEM part number: 52385-sr3-000.

That son of a bitch. I though that was the dumbest thing that It couldn't be replaced...
Thanks alot though! Also if you happen to come across the thread be sure and post it! Thanks
Oh, one more thing. Are the 90-93 Integra "trailing arms" the same as my CRX's? If not whats the diff. I got a hold of some integra control arms and they look identical to mine so im trying to figure out if the person before me put some on or if the guy just sold me some crx control arms.

Don't be too mad, apparently it's a fairly recent thing that they started selling the bushing seperate from the whole trailing arm. There seem to be a lot of people who don't know they sell them yet. Hell, I wouldn't have known had I not seen it on here once or twice.

I want to say they're the same, but not 100% positive. We just swapped teg rears into my friends 5th gen hatch and they went in with no problem. I don't see why ours would be any different. Hell, just try it out and see, it's not too much of a hassle to drop the trailing arm. I'm 99% sure it'll work. Good luck

Wow great info! Honda still denies that they sell that bushing... only the arm.

Call your local Honda dealership parts department and give them the part number I gave you earlier. Tell them to run it for you and see what they come up with. It will be a bushing. The people at your Honda dealership sound like monkeys, try another one near by. I called mine and they immediately said, "It looks like a suspension bushing of some kind."

You could do what he said above or for like a little over a hundred bucks you can order the Mugen ones from King Motorsports. Those are the ones I got and I got them straight from them. Not sure how much they will cost to ship since I just went striaght to them and got them and had them press out the old ones and press them in. Oh and also had them press out the rear LCA bushings and the front LCA bushings and all they charged me was $30 bucks for everything (well plus the $100 for the TA bushings)!
EDIT* You could also try an Acura dealer for the TA bushings cause I have heard that Honda doesnt/wont sell them but Acura will. And they are for the 90-93 Tegs also. Should be the same part number through Honda or Acura.

According to the link posted by Wes V, Acura doesn't sell the bushing for the Integra. The author of that link had to modify a bushing for a civic/crx to fit an Integra trailing arm. I haven't checked to see how old that article/how-to is, so maybe now they do sell them for Integras....just something you might want to check out before you go ordering anything from Acura.

The 90-93 Teg bushing is slightly bigger from what I have heard. 94-2001 is the same size.
And I know 100% sure you can get them seperatly.... I work in the shop at a dealership

OK you might be right I thought on my Miugen TA bushings it had said 90-93 Integra on it but I was wrong it says 97 Acura Integra Type R so well then 97 Type R bushiongs work cause well thats what I am running. And actually I think I asked them and I think they said that all of the Teg T/A bushings were the same as the CRX the only ones that changed were the ones for the Civic throughout the years......If you dont believe me give them a call (262)593-2800
My comments in regards to Acura not currently selling the bushing for the Integras (and 90/91 CRX Si) was valid as of a couple weeks ago. This per the parts manager at a local Acura dealer.
