Default $5 to the one who solves problem

I will paypal $5 if you can solve this one.

I replaced my clutch master cylinder because it was leaking. It still held pressure in the line, but it was not as good as in the past. Well I put a new one in, and pump it 15-20 times and it won't build pressure. I try to bleed it, but can't really because there is no pressure in the line. I know it pumps because I can leave the bleader open and pump fluid out. I searched all the lines and inspected them very VERY closly and there are no leaks anywhere, yet I sitll can't get it to build pressure. I took the new master cylinder out again and covered the holes with my fingers and pumped and it sprayed fluid EVERYWHERE. So the new one seems to work, and like I said before, if I leave the bleeder open I can pump a little fluid out of it by pumping the clutch. SO WHY THE HELL CAN I NOT GET IT TO BUILD PRESSURE> $5 bucs to the guy that solves it. Thanks
Car is a 91 accord

Sounds like you still have alot of air in the system. What I do is take a 3 foot length of clear tubing and put it on the bleeder screw. Loop it up so you can see it while pumping the pedal, and back down into an old jug. Open the bleeder about 1/8 turn and start pumping the pedal till it starts going through good. Sometimes it can take a bit of work.

I agree, bleed it with a clear tube on the end (the stuff for fish tanks works good) so you know if any air is coming. Be *sure* to keep the resevoir full while doing this.

Would the throw-out bearing keep it from pressurizing though. I will try the clear tube Idea, but keep in mind, I did blead it, and even with some air in the system it would still pressurize a little. The thing is so dead its rediculous.

It will not pressurize if the air is caught somewhere it cannot get out and won't let the fluid move so that could very well be your problem.

Hey,

Well chiovnidca was right and I used his method and it worked, so I am going to paypal him $5 bucs. Thanks guys. Problem is its not solved. It makes a grinding/heasing like sound and has a hard time engaging the clutch, but then once the clutch is enganged everything is just fine until I try and shift, then it does it all again. It sounds bad. $5 bucs to who solves this one also!!!!

Don't bother, i'm sure you can find someone better to spend it on. Make sure you have all the air bled out of the system.
