o2 sensor..new or used?

Default o2 sensor..new or used?

o2 sensor gone bad. i need 1 to pass smog...costs $200 from the dealer!!! should i just get 1 new or goto a junk yard and get a used 1?

cant go wrong with used, might be messed up or broken. i'd go with new.

So wouldnt that be you can go wrong.. if theres a chance of it being broke.

a friend said its $40 at the local autozone .. think its a good idea to get it at autozone?

thats the universal one. unless your good at wiring and reading wiring diagrams, buy the OEM one, its a no brainer.

I got a bosch 02 sensor from autozone that was already setup as an oem replacement for $76 incl tax.....

if you get a used one make sure it is in alright shape. but if you can afford it a new one might be the way to go. good luck.

Borrow a "known-good" o2 sensor from a friend to pass smog if you're low on funds, then go and get the universal one from Autozone to run for awhile. If you don't want to go through the hassle, just get a new one. You'll save time & not to mention gas from the newly replaced sensor. I personally wouldn't run Autozone o2 sensors...
