Safely to 6200 RPM. Which is the factory redline. If you want to rev UNsafely, then go higher.

Yup, stock redline on LS's is 6800. On ls-vtec's, it all depends on what parts you use to build it up.

Redline is 6800.
Rev limiter and fuel cutoff is around 7200.
It's safe to go to 6800 if you have a healthy motor.

I have a LS, had it for a while, no rev limiter, you can take it to 7500 safely.....anything higher, and you will burn up seals and the such.....7500. I got one.....late

I've got an LS too...and my limiter is at around 7200 if I'm not mistaken.
It's not normal (or safe) to be without a rev limiter.
I wouldn't say that it's safe to take it to 7500 unless you've done heavy valvetrain work... So saying something like this does NOT apply to everyone.

I have an LS and it rev's up to 7400 without a problem, it bounces off of 7500 so i guess my rev limiter is 7500, i wonder why ppl rev up to 6800 when they got another 400 rpms to go or maybe it's just my engine? *shrugs*

No it's your tach. The Tach is inaccurate.

actually it's my stock rpm gauge and my apexi safc says the same thing also 7400, so does that mean my safc is wrong too?

Well, its because the powerband isnt kept up for that long. It usually starts to go down after 6300rpm. Going higher just lowers ur powerband. Going on a dyno can prove this. And i must agree, even sources say the redline for LS's is around 6800-7000.

to make a LS safely rev high, you have to upgrade valvetrain, and bottom end (oil squirters and a girdle) you can get 8000 with this.

What is involved in putting oil squirters in a block. I have seen them in Vtec blocks before, they do not look like somthing that justs bolts in like a block gridle.
