Which timing belt to use for this setup?

Default Which timing belt to use for this setup?

I searched, but I couldn't find an answer..

I'm using a 99 B16 head on a 97 GS-R bottom end...which timing belt and water pump should I use??

used the gsr or a b16 there are the same

you have to use the same timing belt as the water pump...

b16 water bump = b16 timing belt
gsr water pump = gsr timing belt

The B16 timing belt won't work on the B18 blocks, reguardless of of the head. The deck height is shorter on the B16 block. The B16 and GSR water pumps are the same. They both have 22 teeth that the belt rides on. Use the Gsr timing belt and water pump.

yep, gsr or b16 water pump but you have to use the gsr timing belt.

ok..so i can use the B16 water pump and a GS-R timing belt? darn...i had bought a B16 timing belt, but never used it..guess i'll have to sell it now..

what's the advantage of the GS-R pump vs. the b16?if any..
