any comments on this T3 60-1
i can get a t3 60-1 straight garrett turbo for 550 bux. it is used and has only 10 track days on it was not on a daily driver just a track car.
the specs are .72 a/r on the compressor side and .82 a/r on the turbine side.
is this a good turbo to get? i was going to get sc61 but its like 750 everywher and on back order.. any comments? as far as the turbo and price?

I am guessing you plan to run it on the setup in your sig. This is a big turbo for a b series. IT will take a while to spool. I local guy here has an SC61 with .60 a/r on the compressor and .63 a/r on the exhaust and it spools to full boost at 5200 rpm on his B18B. I think that is a bit late. I like to see boost max around 3500-4000 RPM on street cars. Another thing you should do is do a complete calculation on your engines volumetric efficency and find the right compressor map for your setup. I used this site to figure out mine for my B20Z: http://www.gnttype.org/techare....html MY setup calls for a super 60 wheel or a t4 60 trim sheel. It will be different for your car because you have vtec and will shift at higher rpms tham I will. In my opinion, the turbo is too big and the only reason I would buy it is if I knew I could make a profit on reselling it.
sounds big... what are your goals? thats not that killer of a price either. you can get an sc61 for 650 shipped if you look harder. i did. are you sure that garret even makes a .72 AR tubine? i looked and couldn't find one.

Sorry, but why? So you can melt the tires off 1000 RPM's sooner, and still not fall out of boost like you would with a big turbo?
