I think I'm going to sand my valve cover tommorow in shop class because I've got nothing better to do..

I think I'm going to do it silver and then paint the letters and honda emblem in gunmetal. I'm wondering what to torque the bolts down to. Anyone know?

 

in my helms, for a civic/crx sohc valve cover it says 7.0 lbs, and in the ls/gsr one, it says 7.2 lbs

 

very lightly, just snug it down. i use a dinky 1/4" drive ratchet to limit myself because broken studs suck caca

btw... you should paint the valvecover gunmetal and leave the writing silver. my friend just did this on his b16 and it looks pimp!

and yeah careful u can and will strip or break off the nuts and bolts

so easy my friend had to replace the head stuff so many times

Problem is, mine looks like a dark gunmetal, almost black, and painting it black with just the writing silver is basically what it looks like now...
