Valve cover torque specs????
does anyone know the torque specs for the valve cover bolts on my 95 civic dx 1.5L 16v.
also, for anyone who has taken the valve cover off, do the gaskets need to be replaced. i was just thinking about taking it off and painting it.
but regarless i need the torque spec eather way for the valve cover bolts

you can get the gasket there along with all the bolts you might need.
DOne use anything bigger then a 1/4 drive ratchet to snug up the 5 valve cover bolts. THe rubber seal stops the oil from leaking not the tightness of the weak bolts.
Are you getting the hint DON'T overtighten them.
You may want to add a small dab of sealer in the transition area where the gasket starts to go up over the cam.
We used paint stripper on the valve cover before we paint them. Then sand the paint off the letters and spray clear over everything.
