Default Vafc 2 / Vtec crossover

i installed the Vafc 2 and ive noticed that when it hits vtec its not as explosive as it once was without the vafc. Ive also noticed that it doesnt kick in till about a few rpms higher on the stock tach, is that ust b/c the stock tach is off a little?

P.S. i left everything alone when i installed the vafc after the intial setup, except moving the vtec point to 5200

The point of the VAFC is to tune the VTEC (and fuel) so you DONT feel it. That means that you have more linear power instead of dropping down in power then feeling the kick when you pick it all back up.

Most every H22 likes VTEC at around 4700-4800. As I'm sure you know though, you need to dyno.
