Default which suspension setup would you get for an EP3?

I'm still considering an EP3 and doing some research about the suspension possibilties. I've read about the issues with KONI yellows, which is what i wanted, but after reading about it, i sort of don't want it anymore hehe. Is there any coilover setup out there where it WON"T involve any modifications to fit? if so , which ones have you driven on, and what do you like and not like. I'm also looking to do a lot of auto-x.

so far i've got in mind are the TEIN Flex, but they said its only for 03+ si, what about 02's?

to the best of my knowledge.. tein flex are not too street friendly.. they are more of a track suspension..

I would stick with the flex they are quality and as for the atreet just put them on the softest setting should be fine. If you are looking to buy a 03 ep3 contact me I have one for a great price

JIC FLT-A2s compare to the Flex. They're in my car, I autoX on them, they're great for that, but they take some getting used to on crappy roads... they're pretty stiff. Its a fair compromise though.

The 02 and 03 suspensions are the same fitment.

I also have FLT-A2's... no complaints, and I autocross them quite a bit... I keep them at about 11 out of 15 hardness and my daily drive is comfortable enough.

Some coilovers, like the KWs, are specifically designed to resist rust... which is an issue in some parts of the country.

The Tein Flex is far from a track only suspension, as are the JIC FLT-A2's. Both will work fine on the street.

Have you checked out the D2s? They look comparable to the JIC and Teins, but are much less expensive. http://www.ephatch.com/forum/s...33069

Just wondering, I thought i read something about EP3 front suspensions where it is really hard to lower the car much at all without running out of travel REAL quick, so the only good option is to get something with a shortened shock.... whereas in the EG/DC/EK/etc, you can get away with a stock length shock and a decent amount of lowering. true?

i haven't read anything like that on the ep sites, i'll look around.

i read there is an issue with the tie rod? when lowering too much, and also there is a wierd creaking noise lowering too much, but thats the extent of the issues i've read.
