Depends on what you plan to do with your suspension. As far as a daily driver, I'd just leave it. If you track the car ever, throw in a good GC, Koni Yellow/KYB AGX/Tokico Illumina setup.

Tein Basic blow. I refuse to even sell them. People have actually asked to purchase them from me and I refused
Comparing a Koni/GC combo to Tein Basics is like the difference between a Honda and Hyundai.

why would they be good....only thing adjustable is ride height.
go to http://www.tein.com and look at the specs
I think they're pieces of poo, unless you get top o the line stuff

Re: Suspension Poll!!!!! (Emerika)
damn so you would reccoment the yellows and some nice springs or coilovers over teins then? Are there any other full coilovers comparable in price to the tein ss's that would be better than a koni yellow setup?

If you are looking for an affordable full coilover, might wanna checkout the Edelbrock stuff. They do not offer adjustable dampening (like the Basic), but it`s a very good shock and spring. Plus, easy to change rates if you have the desire.

I personally don't like most of the JDM coilover setups.
I like the way my car handles better with 400 Eibach fronts and 500 Eibach rears on Yellows out back and AGX up front compared to my room mates ITR on APexi N1's.
I dunno....I'm not a fan of the "buy what they say is good"....I like to swap parts around and have a frankenstein setup.

Re: Suspension Poll!!!!! (Emerika)
Coilovers are a rougher ride, its nice that they adjust but its just not comfortable. I am planning on doing Neuspeed race springs (2 1/4 inch drop) with Tokico Illuminas 5 way adjustable shocks and ingalls camber kit, its not adjustable ride height but i think its a good drop and it will be comfortable. So my suggestion is go with some good springs with good, adjustable shocks and don't disreguard your camber.

Ride depends on spring rates, wether the springs are linear or progressive and the stiffness of the shocks, not wether it's a spring or a coilover.

Re: Suspension Poll!!!!!
I was wondering again if any of these are a smooth rides i dont like hard bumpy rides. my stock stuff is cool because its not hard nor bouncy. but the only thing i dont like from it is because the front is LOW and the rear are high. i dont want like dropped but almost stock looking but kinda lower and all even. thanks again for all the replies.

Re: Suspension Poll!!!!! (blkeg)
those that say GC, do you think coilovers "handle" better than reg. aftermarket springs? I'm running on nuespeed sportline springs with tokicko "blues" (have had it close to 4 years and rides real smooth) but has it has WAY too much body roll...i'm trying to get a decent set up which is pretty comfy allows me to lessen body roll and handle better...

Re: Suspension Poll!!!!! (Infinity_Racer)
I like coilover sleeves because the spring is linear....unlike lower springs which are progressive.
So driving straight down the road I'm at 500 lbs and turning hard into a corner I'm at 500 lbs.
Where as a progressive spring is going to allow more body roll, and then get stiffer as the spring compresses.

Re: Suspension Poll!!!!! (Emerika)
Most JDM springrate set-ups suckass. You drop all that cash on your shiny $1000-$1500 "full coilovers" cuz H-T said so and you're still understeering like your mom's Corolla around hard corners. And yeah, you can buy different spring set-ups, but it ain't cheap. With GCs you can get what you want and it barely affects the price. (I think around 339 compared to 299)
I have Koni SP3s with 380/450 GCs, BTW.
That said, I guess Basics are fine if you want green shocks for a daily driver that won't see any racing.

Re: Suspension Poll!!!!! (blkeg)
i'd say GCs with your choice of adjustable shocks-i prefer AGXs.....these are more than sufficient for daily driving and fine for all but the best drivers on the track.
