problems with b16a
Ecu is throwing code 6, Vtec isn't engaging, Engine will not reb over like 7000 rpms, it has a mugen chip so the reb is suppose to be 9500. Any ideas why these things happening?
Make sure you don't have the VTEC oil pressure switch and the TW sensor plugs reversed. They're the exact same shape and right next to each other... took me a year, 3 ECUs, and a replacement "TW Sensor" to figure it out
Also, the temp gauge doesn't get its reading from the TW sensor.

sounds like your car is stuck in open loop. and not evern warmed up enough. even though your guage says so i bet your not warmed up. on a cold engine vtec will not engage and fuel cut is at 7000. its this way on all obd0 obd1 and obd2 vtec cars. i bet you still have a problem on your coolant temp circut.
ok, now i know that this may sound stupid...BUT i have encountered this problem before.
If the b16 is installed into crx HF AND JDM ecu is used then you MAY have this problem.
if the car starts fine, idles fine with no code but as soon as you back out of the driveway the code 6 sets then maybe i can help you.
disconnect the reverse light switch on the transmission.
yes i am serious. the original HF ecu used had an input from the reverse switch and if a JDM ecu is used then this input somehow confuses it. i have seen this at least twice but may not be the problem you have.
