Default More Probs

Today, I started up my car to get the code 22, vtec pressure sensor, do these things just go bad, because it is plugged in or is this a symptom of oil pump failure.
Setup is a drag turbo, with lsvtec, the sensor on the back of the block is tapped twice, coud this be it. I never had a problem with it until today.

I had the same code a few months back, making me change the vtec spool valve filter, o-ring on top of solenoid, and resetted the ecu which cleared it for a week then slowly returned to haunt me. In the end it was the sensor itself. also once the code appeared it would cause the car to bog like crazy at vtec engagement. Bought the new sensor(green piece) that goes in the vtec housing reset the ecu and never had the problem again. sensor was about 55 bucks for a POS as big as your thumb. But then again my setup is a gsr engine. Good luck man!
BTw if acura doesn;t have the sensor the SI's use the same poo poo and you can purchase from a standard honda dealer.
