Default shifting hard...

I'm not sure what is going on or why this is happening but whenever I put my car in gear/shift it seems like theres some resistance. The clutch is fine and the car drives fine also, but I have no idea why its doing this...After driving for a while it does seem to go in gear a little easier but still harder than normal, any opinions?

i have heard that sometimes this is normal. it happens to me also, almost always in 1st and reverse only. if you clutch it all the way, seems like there is resistance, but if you slowy let off the clutch, it will pop right in place.

no i know what youre talking about, that is usually due to trying to put the car in first or reverse while moving...even when going from 2-3 or 3-4 it doesnt go in smooth...wasnt like this in the 3 yrs ive owned the car...

I seem to be having the same problem. It shifts fine while not moving, but once it's going, the stick seems to, well, stick. I was a little low on fluid, so I topped it off and tried bleeding the clutch, which seemed to help a tiny bit (might be worth a shot for you), but didn't solve the problem. I'm gonna change the fluid on Thursday, but anyone else have any ideas? Synchros? Clutch master/slave cylinder going out?

i dont remember off hand but i think its every 30,000 for the tranny fluid..i would do that and see how the shifting is afterwards.

I had the exact same problem, hard to get the shifter into gear, on every gear, while driving. I pulled the transmission off and found little pieces of metal broken off from around the springs on my clutch disc. You need a new clutch disc at the very least. Mine had 130K+ miles on the original, so I went ahead and changed out the whole clutch, disc and pressure plate, and put on a lightweight flywheel, too.

yeah sometimes I have the same problem.... It seems like all integras are hard to get into reverse... sometimes the trick is to put it in first then into reverse.. or just let off the clutch it will pop in

Sometimes I have a CRAZY hard time getting it into first.. that just needs fiddling around, but sometimes letting off the clutch with that DOESN'T work and it grinds bad =[ I also have a shortshifter and that ain't good for your transmission so that could be my problem!
