i have the tokicko adj. on my gsr and i blew 3 of them last nite while driving.
i hit some mean pot holes and now my car rides like ***. i am going to get another set of shocks but what should i get. my car is lowered 2.25inch in the front and 2in the rear with GC's.
oh yeah i cant afford koni's yet

they wont blow with my car lowered 2inches+?
cuz i'll be pissed spending that much and they do.

 

How about the kyb agx....those usually hold up good...but maybe you should try and not lower your car so much..just a thought

 

koni yellows are number one shocks out there,i have koni yellows sp3's on my 00 gsr neuspeed race springs

 

kyb doesnt support a warranty passed a drop of 2''. tokikos are good comfortable ride. koni = # 1

 

i didnt even have to compress my neuspeed race on to the koni yellows sp3's i have a 2.5 inch drop

 

you dont have to compress lowering springs. they are shorter than stock. in other words theyre not as long, so why would there be a need to compress them? btw it doesnt matter what kind of shock you have, you still wont have to compress them on.

G/C makes adapters that take the place of the upper spring perch's and give the struts 2 inches more room to travel, we run them on our racing Integras and have not had any problems with blowing out struts. Any strut will fail if it bottoms out to many times.

 

how do you know they are blown? did they have no rebound or was it leaking?
