Please oh please...help... ECU code 22 .. :)
Ok guys here is the info...
Car - 93 ex coupe
Motor - 98+ JDM ITR
Wire Harness used - GSR OBDII
ECU - Kenji chipped P28
My car is throwing a Code 22... unless I'm reading it wrong... but it goes something like this.. check..check... check.check.
Is that code 20 and 2 or code 22? Besides that, if it is a code 22, how am I suppose to get rid of it? I checked all my ground wires and everything is intact.
What am I to do?
Also, can someone tell me what this extra sensor on the GSR harness is?

It sits ontop to the front of the starter. That green plug.
Any help would be great. THANKS!

I figured it was that. So to move on I did more research.
I read that there a basically 2 ways to get rid of it.
1. Cut the plug and ground it.
2. Cut the plug and splice it into the vtec sensor.
Are those the only 2 ways?

What VTEC solenoid are you using? If you are still using the 98 JDM ITR solenoid that is the reason you are throwing the code. The JDM ITR solenoid does not use a pressure switch like the USDM motors do. You either need to find yourself a USDM vtec solenoid or drill and tap the JDM solenoid and put a pressure switch in it. Me and Sander actually did a JDM ITR swap over the weekend, running with a Hondata powered P28 and what we did was use a B16 VTEC Solenoid.
I've got the same problem...
I haven't heard the idea of swapping the USDM solenoid, but what I have been told to do is tap the wire from the VTEC oil pressure sensor/switch/whatever you wanna call it, into the vtec solenoid wire.
Or get a VAFC which bypasses it anyway...

Haven't done it yet... It only happens when I hit VTEC in 4th gear uphill or 5th gear on flat, and by that time I already know whether or not I beat someone so until I'm ready to track it it's not that big a deal...
I'm just gonna VAFC it I think, but that requires money. However, then I can also get it tuned, so I'll be making my engine happy and myself happy at the same time...
