New to turbo --> stupid wastegate spring question

With the spring rates. Is that rate the amount of boost i will be running at? Also, with the same spring, how far can you raise and drop boost from what it is rated at?

wastegates allows gas at a predetermined psi once reached to be released. its a way to somewhat regulate boost but not control it, thats where a boost controller comes into play.

yes... the spring rate is most always the psi it will run/release at.
yes you can go above your spring somewhat, usually double your spring rate is the max.
no you can not go lower than your spring rate.
