If the damage got to the frame forget it. The price is that low for a reason.

I don't mind if a car has been in an accident as long as it's properly repaired. Oh, and as long as the car drives normal (front end accidents usually will make the car NOT drive normal, like the car will pull to either side of the road). Just make sure the suspension is good. Body work is minor. Frame can go either way.

got any b4 pictures of that wreck....that could help us decifer a good answer for u...
personally...i totalled my old type S. i know for a fact that after body repairs it would be fine...they told me the chassis was bent...but i dont think so. so it can really go either way. they still totalled out the car...

the dealer wond't sell it for less than 10k, i brouht the car to a body shop, they said the car is in a good condition. what do you guys think? should i pay that much for a damage car????
thing is, if the frame is messed its not goign to be good and youll feel bleh, if the frame is fine then maybe, but id rather save a lil more and go for a low mileage used one that way you know its still in good condition. + the fact that nobody is really buying the car makes the car price go down a lot more so i guess it depends on how ur financial sitaution is, but think about what you would feel owning a car that has been in an accident, cuz youll be the one driving the car in the future, not us
the autobody shop wil be able to tell you if there is frame damage...if there is then don't get it, my friend bought a car with frame damage and has to do wheel allignments every 6 weeks, the car is a peice...its also a ford, but yeh..

Word. When you took it to the body shop did they check inside AND out to tell you it was in good condition? Was the body shop chosen by the dealer/seller? Take it to your own place that you trust/know/etc and tell them to have a look in every nook and cranny. If and only if they say the car is in GOOD condition (not fair..) then take it.

The good news is the Si has a stong frame to begin with. Take it for a test drive over your entire daily commute. See if it rattles or squeaks. Open & shut all the doors, and check the seams for consistent fit. Offer him 9K with $2K cash in advance.
