Towing car across the border.
I am planning to put my car on trailer, and then drive it to PA to get tuned.
I was wondering if anyone had any tips/suggestions that could make the border crossing a little less troublesome?

Make sure you have your passport AND D.L. or birth cert. I would think you should take the car title with you also. I would take as much documentation as possible so they don't hassle you.

Why drive to PA when there's a very competent tuner in Upstate NY? Get in touch with Synapse Motorsport (http://www.synapseturbo.com)
Just trying to save you a couple hundred miles of towing.

Re: (B18C_EJ8)
I'll be going to Evans Tuning.
I haven't really heard much about Synapse, so I'll probably stick with Evans.
I have my DZ (truck license) so trailering the car isn't an issue, I just want to make sure I won't get any surprises at the border.
Will they bust my nuts if I some spare parts with me?
thanks guys

Tony the Tiger, or even the person I use at Japanese Automotive in Toronto. Hell, we're in MI, and we send a lot of cars across the border to Toronto ON.
Some good people in your neck of the woods. give them a call first, before going to the border. Since you may be going anyway,
-Canadian Passport a MUST
-Prepare to be inspected. they do it to ALL trailers
-Bluewater bridge is quick way to get to PA through Port Huron MI
-Make sure you have another purpose other than "tuning". Border patrol cats are clueless to what that is.
-Have a google map of instructions on how to get there, as well as a printed copy of Jeff-Evan's website to show patrol. THEY WILL ASK FOR PROOF
Enjoy the wait....
