on the apexi site, it says that 12-14%+ will sometimes induce a check engine lite, due to the map sensor voltage being so low (as if it sees boost, the afc manipulates the map sensor signal and fools it inot thinking more air is going thru than what is really going thru, so in turn, more fueling occurs)...well, my car, sometimes, will throw a lite it seems from it being set at 11%+.... I think it mite be from that fact that my car sees a little bit of positve manifold pressure at full throttle; the afc will show .01-.02..where as most NA hondas it seems at full throttle show .00..my theory is, my high compression, big cam, porting, etc make the map sensor voltage that much lower at full throttle than most hondas due to the increased air being pulled in, so the lite being thrown @ 11% makes sense.
Do you agree?
also, after having this safc since 1999, i noticed for the first time that in the accessory position, car not running, that the pressure was @ 0.00 (usually its at like -007,8), so, i tried another MAP sensor jsut to verify and it read the same...i am suspecting that this mite very well be why i threw the code @ 11% today...i think the atmoshperic pressure today, in combo with my motor setup, is the culprit...
